The Ian Woosnam golf course is set under the beautiful backdrop of the Pirin Mountains and located in the Pirin Golf and Country Club at Razlog near Bansko in Bulgaria. This 18 hole championship golf course with a par of 72 and its 80 bunkers will challenge golfers of all levels however it is still enjoyable for beginners. This well maintained golf course was built in 2009 and has a total length of 6182 metres, it must be one of the most beautiful places in the world to play golf.
A second course, the Pirin Pine Course, takes its name from the surrounding area. It has five holes and is used for practice.
The Pirin Golf and Country Club is placing Bulgaria, a country which is not usually associated with golf, on the world golf tourism map.
