What is a photowalk? A photowalk is quite simply the practice of going to a specific location to combine walking or hiking and taking photos.
Bansko photowalks are organised by local guide who is familiar with the area and is also a professional photographer who knows the best areas for the perfect shot.
Explore Bansko in a relaxed and fun way: You will be shown the photogenic spots, the hidden gems and the places you might otherwise not visit while you are in Bansko.
Learn more about photography with either a camera or phone: Your guide will explain more about photography and you can put the theory into practise immediately.
Meet other like minded people: A private tour can be booked for 2 to 8 people however events and workshops are organised throughout the year where you can join in and meet people with similar interests.

The hike around Bansko is showing you how beautiful nature is and rated as an easy hike. There is little elevation level, so it’s classified as a hike that is possible for most people.

Bansko Sunset & In The Dark Photowalk
Capturing some nice moments in Bansko during the best moment of the day, this walk will focus on sunset photography.
We will gather in the late afternoon and walk to a couple of places that are beautiful during the sunset. We will take some creative shots during the golden hour (the moment before the sunset) and the blue hour (the moment after the sun sets).
After the sun leaves us we will slowly walk back to town to end the evening with a drink, a great way to finish the day with like minded people.
During the walk we will stop multiple times for some photography tips and time to capture things. Of course you can ask any (photography related) questions during the trip.

Demyanitsa Photowalk

It’s all in the details: micro photography
The hike to the Demyanitsa Hut is beautiful and rated as a medium hike, since we will have some elevation during the hike. It’s 6 kilometers one-way (12 in total) and the elevation level is about 450 meters from the parking lot to the mountain hut. There is no climbing involved: the trail just goes up gradually and we stop plenty of times to take pictures and have some time to enjoy our surroundings.

During this photowalk we will visit different places where we will try delicious things. We will talk about food photography and you will have the time to practise as well as street photography along the way.

Food photography: different ways to capture drinks and food, from flat lays to dynamic shots.
Traditional Bulgarian food that you will try, you won’t be going home with an empty stomach.
Street photography: how can we capture the beauty of the old town of Bansko.
During this photowalk you will get to try the following Bulgarian traditional dishes.
1. Mekitsa (Bulgarian version of a fried donut)
2. Cheese platter, including different types of bread
3. Bulgarian soup (tarator, bean soup, tripe soup)
4. Palinka, Bulgarian version of flat bread
5. Mix of salads
6. Bulgarian meat dish
7. Banitsa ,a Bulgarian pastry made with filo pastry and a meat or vegetarian filling
8. A drink at a specialty coffee place (coffee/tea/hot coco/soda)
